Overview

A trigger is an event that starts a "Zap". Once you turn on a Zap, Zapier will monitor for that trigger event. For example, you can set up a Zap to send a direct message in Slack to yourself every time you receive a new order via Elective. In this Zap, the trigger event is the new order being processed.

 

Supported Trigger Events

  1. Order Completed: Triggers whenever a customer makes a purchase through Elective.

    Information Description
    Customer Details Where applicable, we will pass on the customer's first name, last name, email, address, and phone number.
    Order Details

    Here you will find the total gross amount sold, processing fees, and the expected net amount.

    For any order excluding Pay In Full transactions, we'll also include the term and type (either funding or in-house).

    Cart Details With each order, we'll provide details on the purchased product, including its name, product ID, and price.

    • ✅ Billing

       

  2. Order Refunded: Triggers when a refund is initiated.

    Information Description
    Customer Details Where applicable, we will pass on the customer's first name, last name, email, address, and phone number.
    Order Details

    Here you will find the total gross amount sold, processing fees, and the expected net amount.

    For any order excluding Pay In Full transactions, we'll also include the term and type (either funding or in-house).

    Cart Details With each order, we'll provide details on the purchased product, including its name, product ID, and price.
    Supported Elective Products:
    • ✅ Learn Now, Pay Later

    • ✅ Billing

       

  3. Order Canceled: Triggers when a cancelation is initiated, without triggering refunds, and only cancels any outstanding payments in a customer's payment plan. Presently, this only happens when a customer fails to make their installment payment within 30 days on an in-house payment plan.

    Information Description
    Customer Details Where applicable, we will pass on the customer's first name, last name, email, address, and phone number.
    Order Details

    This is where you'll see the total amount being refunded to the customer.

    For any order excluding Pay In Full transactions, we'll also pass on the term length and type (either funding or in-house).

    Cart Details For each order, we'll share the product being refunded including the product name, product ID, and original price.

  4. Application Approved: Triggers when a submitted Elective application is approved.

    Information Description
    Customer Details Where applicable, we will pass on the customer's first name, last name, email, address, and phone number.
    Origin Details

    We'll also pass on the application type as LNPL for Learn Now, Pay Later.

    • ✅ Learn Now, Pay Later

    • ❌ Billing

  5. Application Declined: Triggers when a submitted Elective application is declined.

    Information Description
    Customer Details Where applicable, we will pass on the customer's first name, last name, email, address, and phone number.
    Origin Details

    Here you will find the total gross amount sold, processing fees, and the expected net amount.

    For any order excluding Pay In Full transactions, we'll also include the term and type (either funding or in-house).

    Cart Details

    If a customer is ineligible for funding, we'll share the product ID associated with the application.

  6. Installment Charged: Triggers when an installment is successfully charged for an in-house payment plan.

    Information Description
    Customer Details Where applicable, we will pass on the customer's first name, last name, email, address, and phone number.
    Installment Details

    Here you will find the total gross amount processed, processing fees, and the expected net amount.

    Product Details

    With each installment, we'll provide details on the purchased product, including its name, product ID, and price.

    Supported Elective Products:
    • ❌ Learn Now, Pay Later

    • ✅ Billing
