You must not use Elective’s services for any illegal activities or for the businesses or product types listed below. The following categories of businesses, business practices, and course and coaching subject matter are prohibited from using the Elective Service ("Prohibited Businesses"). Prohibited Business categories may be imposed through Network Rules or the requirements of our Financial Services Providers. The list below is representative, but not exhaustive. Prohibited Businesses (Products, Services, and Course and Coaching Subject Matter)
Illegal or High-risk Items, activities, services, courses, and/or coaching subject matter:
Any illegal or unlawful goods or services or that encourage, promote, facilitate, or instruct others to engage in illegal activity.
Escort & Bride catalogs, sexual services, mail order brides, prostitution
Resellers without proof of agreements – if you are a reseller of a product or service you must obtain the appropriate reseller certificate or permission.
Foreign Currency Exchange services or software, binary options
Live animals, Human body parts/fluids/remains (excluding hair pieces)
Items that include computer viruses, worms, trojan horses, dishonest adware, crimeware, unauthorized rootkits, and other malicious and/or illegal software.
Medical Benefit Packages, discount medical cards, Medical/therapy services, medical consultation services, dental plans
Unapproved drugs, and devices mimicking illegal drugs
Phone unlock services, Jail breakers
Pornography and adult content; and/or featuring rape/violence/bestiality and/or all other illegal sexual content.
Products that infringe or violate copyright, trademarks, privacy, IP rights
Rape/Violence
Replica, branded name knock-off products, stolen/recalled property, Counterfeit goods
Satellite, Cable signal decoders/cards
Sites promoting hatred, racism, religious persecution or contain offensive content
Virtual Credit
Virtual gaming chips, credits, penny auctions, auctions with non-refundable bid or participation fees
Weapons, Firearms, ammunition, explosives, hazardous materials, combustibles, knives
Speculative fulfillment (e.g. Crowdfunding)
Institutions of Higher Education as defined in Higher Education Act of 1965 (20 U.S.C 1019)
Physical goods of any kind
Financial consulting services (e.g. Registered Financial Advisor)
Abuse of Elective Service and Other Unfair, Predatory, or Deceptive Business Practices
Multi-level marketing (pyramid schemes, network marketing, and referral marketing programs)
Hustle businesses (history of not delivering goods and/or services promised at time of purchase or overwhelming negative online reviews)
Use of Elective in a manner that is inconsistent with its intended use or as expressly prohibited in the Terms of Service (use of Elective where there is no bona fide good or service sold; evasion of card network chargeback monitoring programs; sharing Elective user data with another merchant for cross-selling product or service)
